Meetings During the month we held three Meetings: Operations, Communications and KIN

Operations

New Forms We have introduced two new forms prepared by Jess that will partly automate invoicing and reimbursement. Thank you, Jess.

Website Improvements Our website has undergone some changes by Josh. The website footer now conveniently links to the Memberships page and our YouTube channel. Stripe has also been configured on the Memberships page. Additionally, we are now accepting Stripe donations in both recurring and one-off formats, available in the website footer. Thank you, Josh.

Support Page Draft We are in the early stages of drafting a new Support page for the website. Josh provided a preview. The page will detail the types of work we need doing and invite people to help where they can.

Name Change for Admin Meetings Our Admin meetings have been renamed to Operations meetings. Welcome to the new "Operations Meeting"!

Branding / Communications / Social Media

Word Limits on Certain Platforms We will be voting at the next Communications meeting on whether to implement word limits on certain social media platforms.

Animations for UBI We are considering a future communications project involving animations related to UBI. It would be great to hear from anyone who can help with this project.

Call for Newsletter Writer We are looking for a talented email newsletter writer to provide quarterly or monthly updates. This newsletter will summarise the content covered in the BIA meetings and events. If you're interested, please let us know! This newsletter was prepared by Michael with the help of ChatGPT… thank you ChatGPT!

Political / Public Outreach / Networking Updates

BIEN Podcast Jess is working on sharing our thoughts on UBI in Australia via the BIEN podcast, scheduled for Dec/Jan. There may be a series of special Australia podcasts in the pipeline.

Ben Earl (Canada UBI Contact) Emma will reach out to Ben Earl for updates on Canada's UBI efforts.

Everald Compton Update Stay tuned for an update from Everald Compton, who is now actively pursuing Federal Parliamentarian support for a Public Enquiry into the merits of a Universal Basic Income.

KIN Festival Update We are making progress with the KIN Festival program, comms, and securing speakers. Program should be finalised by 4 October.

Engaging with MPs We're also considering a pilot project to minimize homelessness and domestic violence, and discussions have started with potential supporters.
